Promise Magagula

Promise Magagula, born and raised in a small village called Scheomansdal in Nkomazi,Mpumalanga, has a strong background in healthcare, starting with participation in the Imagine Scholar program in grade 9. Later graduated from Lugebhuta High School in 2013 and earned a BCMP degree (Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice) from the University of Pretoria in 2021.

Since 2013, I have also served on the board of Imagine Scholar, overseeing the budget and program operations.

Now a Clinical Associate at Mpathy Phosaville, I have experience in Community-Oriented Primary Care (COPC), working with community health workers and local organisations in outreach programs, patient care, data collection, and occupational health, including COVID-19 testing.

Lindiwe Mkhize

I’ am Lindiwe Mkhize, born in Soweto on November 19, 1984, earned a diploma in Nursing Science (General, Psychiatry, Community) and Midwifery from Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, qualifying in 2015. Initially entering nursing for financial reasons, I unexpectedly developed a deep passion for the profession. While working as a midwife at Zola Clinic (2015-2021), finding joy in helping bring new life into the world. Later, I progressed work as a psychiatric nurse at Tara Psychiatric Hospital and as a Primary Health Care Nurse at Rhiza Babuyile Clinic in Diepsloot, where I honed my leadership skills.

Upon joining Mpathy, I then realised the importance of holistic care and the value of empathy. Nursing taught me to care deeply for patients beyond just medical needs, understanding that some illnesses need emotional support. Now, I see nursing as my calling and acknowledge that compassion and care are essential for success in the field.

Maria Dube

A qualified registered nurse, midwife, and Primary Health Care (PHC) practitioner with over 40 years of experience in various nursing disciplines. My career spans from 1982 to 2019, working in private, provincial, and government sectors, including serving as a PHC Operational Manager from 2012 until retirement in 2019.

Despite retiring, I remained active and passionate about nursing. In 2020, was returned to work as a contracted nurse, caring for COVID-19 inmates in the Department of Correctional Services until May 2021. Later, I joined Rhiza Babuyile Development NPO as a COVID-19 Vaccinator and later led the establishment of the Rhiza Babuyile Wellness Clinic at Alexandra SafeHub, providing care and building relationships with local organisations until May 2024. Afterward, then continued working on short-term contracts at various healthcare facilities, including Orangefarm RB PHC Clinic and Tembisa Mpathy PHC Clinic, where currently offering services as a locum. I also hold additional certifications in areas such as TB management, HIV/AIDS counseling, palliative care, and infection control.

Talent Kuane

Talent Kuane is a dedicated and compassionate professional nurse with over 5 years of experience specialising in patient care, forensic nursing, and community health services. With proven expertise in clinical practice and leadership, I have led mobile clinic teams, managed clinic operations, and coordinated patient care in underserved communities. In addition to providing primary healthcare services at Dis-Chem Pharmacies, also served as a forensic nurse at Stanza Bopape Community Health Center, where duties included conducted forensic examinations, supporting victims of violence, and worked with law enforcement.

Holds a Diploma in Nursing and midwifery (2015-2018) and has pursued continuous professional development through advanced life support training and leadership workshops. Known for strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for community health, I remain committed to delivering high-quality care and improving health outcomes in diverse settings.

Constance Mosiuoa

I am Constance Mosiuoa, 30-year-old female currently based in Rustenburg. A dedicated healthcare professional who has a passion for primary healthcare with 4 years’ experience in the field. The sister in-charge at Mpathy Clinic Marikana, a nurse-led facility where I oversee every aspect of its operations. I hold a Diploma in Nursing Sciences, with specializations in General Nursing, Community Nursing, Psychiatry, and Midwifery, which has equipped me with a well-rounded foundation to deliver exceptional care across a range of healthcare needs. My duties include managing clinic operations, staff supervision, resource management, patient care, and cash flow oversight.

My role involves providing direct care, managing medical conditions, supporting pregnant women through pregnancy, and Post Natal care, administering immunizations. Additionally, practice holistic approach to patient care, ensuring that everyone receives comprehensive and compassionate treatment.
